Wet & Cyclone Scrubbers

Liquid-contact scrubbing for gases, fumes and sticky dust

Overview

What This Equipment Does

Where dust is hygroscopic, hot, explosive, or accompanied by acidic gases, wet scrubbing is the right tool. Scrubbing liquid contacts the gas stream and captures both particulate and soluble gaseous pollutants in one stage.

We build venturi scrubbers for fine particulate, packed-bed towers for gas absorption and cyclone scrubbers where centrifugal separation and liquid contact combine in a single compact vessel.

Wet & Cyclone Scrubbers

How It Works

The Working Principle

01

Dirty gas enters the scrubber and is forced into intimate contact with atomised scrubbing liquid.

02

In a venturi throat, the gas accelerates and shears the liquid into fine droplets that capture sub-micron particles.

03

In a cyclone scrubber, centrifugal force slings wetted particles to the vessel wall, where they drain to the sump.

04

A mist eliminator strips entrained droplets before clean gas exits to the stack.

Key Features

Built Into Every Unit

  • Venturi, packed-bed, spray tower and cyclone configurations
  • Handles hot, moist, sticky and combustible dusts safely
  • Simultaneous removal of particulate and acid gases (SO2, HCl, NH3)
  • MSRL, PP, FRP and SS construction for corrosive service
  • Integrated recirculation tanks and mist eliminators
